Who’s coming and who’s going from General Hospital (GH)? Are any of your favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the not too far off future?

After months off the canvas, Genie Francis is set to return as Port Charles mayor, Laura Collins, and she’ll be accompanied by her TV brother, Michael E. Knight, who plays attorney Martin Gray. Both characters will be back on screen this week.
Parry Shen will also be popping in as Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) best friend, Brad Cooper. So too will be Lydia Look, who portrays Brad’s aunt and crime lord Selina Wu. Look airs on Thursday, December 9 in scenes with Thiebaud.
Another fan favorite, Kristina Wagner, took to Twitter to report that she is back on the GH set taping scenes as Felicia Scorpio and back on contract. She said to expect Felicia to add some color to current storylines. Wagner made her last appearance in May on the soap’s special episode to honor the late John Reilly, who played Sean Donely.
Meanwhile, on the kid front, Brady Bauer is now portraying Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) and Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) son, Rocco Falconeri. The character was previously played by O’Neill Monahan.
GH made its debut in 1963 and is the second longest-running daytime soap opera in American history. The longest-running soap is Guiding Light. While it’s not the longest-running serial, General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.
The daytime drama outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households! From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) many decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) exploits to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please its viewers.
It is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
