The week of October 10, 2022
Alley Mills, who recurs as Pam Douglas on The Bold and the Beautiful, is boarding the Port Charles soap in a new role. The character’s name is being kept under wraps, as well as any details about her. Mills has already begun taping and will begin appearing later this month.
Meanwhile, on the Pentonville prison front, Jeff Kober has popped back in as Cyrus Renault. He helped fellow inmate Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) out of an escalating scuffle last week.
Also involved in that scuffle was Brad Schmidt, who’s now playing an inmate named Book. Schmidt previously filled in for Johnny Wactor as Brando on the soap.
GH made its debut in 1963 and was created by the husband and wife team of Frank and Doris Hursley, taking place at a hospital in an unnamed city. In fact, the setting wasn’t named Port Charles until the 1970s. General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.
From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) four decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine, to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) exploits, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please their viewers.
