General Hospital’s Liz Is Not Still Carrying A Torch For Jason, Britt

We kind of get where General Hospital’s Britt Westbourne is coming from. She is still carrying a torch for stoic silencer, Jason Morgan, even though he dumped her to marry mob widow Carly Corinthos – then stepped aside when dead don Sonny Corinthos proved to still be breathing. Britt figures if she’s still got the hots for the guy, why wouldn’t Elizabeth Webber Baldwin. Here’s why.

General Hospital: Past Tense

Jason (Steve Burton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) were so, so long ago. Since they had their fling and conceived Jake (Hudson West), Elizabeth returned to Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson), cheated on him with Nikolas Cassadine to the point where little Aiden’s paternity was in question, then moved on to Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), who ended up being her longest-lasting relationship until he tragically died this year. So what we’re saying is: Jason Who?

Deadbeat Dad

Liz has three kids from three different dads. So she knows from deadbeats. Zander Smith (Chad Brannon) died, so he has an excuse. But Jason was perfectly happy to step aside and let Lucky claim and raise Jake.

Even when the truth came out on General Hospital, Jason didn’t exactly leap into fatherhood. To be fair, he is as indifferent to Jake as he is to Danny, the child he only denied for a little while. Franco stepped up for all of Liz’s boys. So, again: Jason Who?

New Prospects

Finally, why should Liz spend a minute pining over Jason when she’s got Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) hanging around, looking at her like a sad puppy who might have found a reason not to be sad anymore. Finn isn’t a mobster, and he is a caring dad to his daughter, Violet (Jophielle Love). One more time for those in the peanut gallery: Jason Who?
