Our General Hospital Take: Could Love Be in Bloom?

On Friday’s “General Hospital,” we saw a lovely reunion with Nikolas and his family as well as a charming display of the green-eyed monster with the younger set. It was a fun day, and we can’t wait for Monday.

Just Friends?
Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) followed Laura (Genie Francis) halfway around the world to show her what he now had – a photo of the Ice Princess, along with some sand?! We have to say, that really could have been said over the phone. It’s not like flying to Greece is super cheap. It looks like Laura may mean more to Kevin than he (or the show) is willing to say.

For her part, Laura looked happy – but confused. She’s been around the block before. She has to know this means more, and now she needs to figure out if she has feelings for her good “friend.” Doesn’t matter – it’s just so great to see the show mining history to give Laura a treasure hunt, so to speak. For longtime viewers, it’s a lot of fun!

Morgan (Bryan Craig) and Kiki (Hayley Erin) were trying to enjoy a coffee date when they saw Darby (Jesica Ahlberg), who Kiki can’t stand. (“She’s a slutty train wreck”). When she realized she was there for a date with Dillon (Robert Palmer Watkins), even Morgan could see that it bothered Kiki. This relationship could be in trouble before it begins… again.

Honorable Mention
We loved seeing Lulu (Emme Rylan) hug – and then punch – and then hug again, Nikolas. It’s easy to understand how she’d be feeling such mixed emotions. He allowed her and everyone else to believe he was dead. He will have to do some serious ‘splainin’ to his family, but for now it was nice to see their joy that he’s alive.
