General Hospital Recap: The Return Of Tony Jones

The General Hospital recap for Friday, November 8 features a comforting, ghostly visitation, a rumination on what family really means, Jax miscalculating, and a major crisis for Nikolas.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Julian (William deVry) arrived at the hospital in search of Lucas (Ryan Carnes), unaware that his biological son was visiting Tony’s (Brad Maule) grave. The mobster’s mere presence infuriated Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) and when he exalted his and Lucas’ reformed bond she was quick to remind him that “Only one man will ever truly be his father.”

Back at the cemetery, an emotional Lucas conjured up a vision of Tony, whom he sought guidance from. When Lucas told his father that he feared he was a bad parent Tony was quick to remember that he was no saint.

The reunion deeply affected Lucas and when Bobbie managed to get a hold of him and reiterated Julian’s desire to meet, Lucas said she could tell Julian he was “…with my father.” Later, Tony’s spirit reached out to Bobbie, who briefly registered his presence.

Best Laid Plans

Jax (Ingo Rademacher) paid Ava (Maura West) a visit at Shadybrook, ostensibly to check on her well being. However, when he tried to subtly broach the topic of Helena’s portrait, Ava called bull and warned him that he would never get his hands on painting. “I may be crazy, but I’m not CRAZY!”

Cassandra: A Compromising Situation

Cassandra (Jessica Tuck) quickly realized that Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) had no plans of driving her to the private airfield so, when the van had to make a traffic stop, she took the opportunity to flee. Nik gave chase but lost her. Hoping to cover his tracks, he placed an anonymous call to the authorities and cautioned them that the escapee might have a firearm.

In the meantime, Cassandra made her way to Kelly’s and, upon spying Charlotte, she entered the establishment and warned the girl to do exactly as she said or Nina would be in trouble. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
