The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, June 1, 2021, features Maxie handing over precious cargo, Laura playing armchair therapist, and Cyrus making a nuisance of himself.
Boy, does Maxie (Kirsten Storms) have a story for Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), and yes, it does indeed involve the unconscious man lying at her feet. Blah blah blah, delivered my baby in the woods. Blah blah blah probably killed my psychotic companion nurse.
Brook Lynn took it all in stride, then took off with Maxie’s precious tyke. Maxie and Austin (Roger Howarth) – whom Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) may think looks a skosh like Franco…it was pretty hard to read that reaction – eventually made their way to GH…and only a visiting Peter (Wes Ramsey) wondered where in the world Maxie’s infant was.
Laura (Genie Francis) paid Curtis (Donnell Turner) what she thought would be a short and sweet visit, and wound up getting embroiled in a conversation about her friend’s love life. She encouraged him to reach out to Portia (Brook Kerr), which was more than a good idea since the good doctor was currently the hostage of big bad Cyrus (Jeff Kober).
Turns out, the lead that he took to the shoulder disagreed with him, and he wants it out. And since he’s 99.4% certain that Portia would do the smart thing and just let him die, he’s come a-calling and demands her assistance.
Portia, at first, says no. Then Trina’s (Sydney Mikayla) unfortunate arrival forced her hand. With the limited resources at her disposal, Portia successfully removed the bullet, and cleaned out the wound…but at the first available opportunity, she and Trina made a dash for the phones. Rookie move, ladies, rookie move.
Finn (Michael Easton) nearly fell apart over the intense interrogation being conducted by Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), but he was lured away before he could confess that Chase (Josh Swickard) has been poisoned.
Meanwhile, Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) came to, revealed that she’d returned with her senses, and set about clearing Jason’s (Steve Burton) name and implicating Peter in Franco’s murder. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
