In a surprise move, Wes Ramsey is back on the scene as Peter August. Although the dastardly character was deemed dead by two medical professionals, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), it turns out he’s very much alive and back wreaking havoc.
Phoebe Kuhlman is portraying the real Chloe Jennings. Kimberly J. Brown played the imposter, who took over the nurse’s identity and ended up meeting her demise last June. Kuhlman’s character is being held in captivity with Cameron Mathison’s Drew Cane.
After being MIA for months, it looks like Tristan Rogers will soon be back on the scene as Robert Scorpio. The actor took to Twitter to alert fans that it looked “positive” that he’d be reprising his role.
Olivia’s (Lisa LoCicero) son Leo has been aged. The character, last played by Aaron Bradshaw, has been replaced by Easton Rocket Sweda.
GH made its debut in 1963 and is the second longest-running daytime soap opera in American history. The longest-running soap is Guiding Light. While it’s not the longest-running serial, General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.
The daytime drama outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households! From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) many decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) exploits to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please their viewers.
It is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
