Five Fast Facts About General Hospital Star Jon Lindstrom

Jon Lindstrom currently stars as twin brothers Dr. Kevin Collins and Dr. Ryan Chamberlin on General Hospital, and he played Kevin Collins on Port Charles, too. Lindstrom has also guest-starred on television shows such as True Detective, Bosch, NCIS, Blue Bloods, Castle, and even Baywatch.

While he stays very busy with acting, Lindstrom manages to find time to pursue his other passions in life. From where he was born and raised to finding the love of his life, here are five fast facts you need to know about the General Hospital actor.

In The Beginning
Lindstrom was born on October 18 and raised in Medford, Oregon. His father, Robert, was a TV advertising executive, while his mother, Suzanne, was a homemaker — and he’s descendant of Aaron Burr! He has an older brother named Jeff. Lindstrom started acting when he was young and pursued theater at the University of Oregon.

Music Man
Along with acting on soaps like Rituals, Santa Barbara, Generations, and As the World Turns, in addition to GH, Lindstrom has spent his time making music as a drummer with his band called The High Lonesome. In fact, they recorded an album called Feel Free To Do So. The album received praise and two of the songs were added to the Billboard Hot 100.

The Write Stuff
After acting for a while, Lindstrom decided to write his first screenplay, which ended up being turned into the feature film in 2006 called The Hard Easy. He not only co-wrote the script, but he was also the creator and the co-executive producer. The film stars Vera Farmiga, David Boreanaz, Bruce Dern, Nick Lachey, and Gary Busey.

Staying Active
While acting, writing, and making music keeps him very busy, Lindstrom also enjoys spending time outside and staying active. He makes sure to find time to ski, scuba dive, and surf. Not to mention, he is also a martial artist!

Getting Personal
Lindstrom’s first marriage was to The Young and the Restless star Eileen Davidson. The couple tied the knot in 1997 but announced their split in 2000. Lindstrom is now married to his former As the World Turns co-star, Cady McClain ( she played Rosanna while he played Craig Montgomery). The pair married in 2014.
