Five Fast Facts About General Hospital Star Genie Francis

Genie Francis currently stars and is best known for playing the iconic character Laura Spencer on General Hospital. However, she has also been in other soaps such as Days of Our Lives, All My Children, and The Young and the Restless.

While she’s been busy with her soap operas over the years, she has also guest-starred on shows like Murder, She Wrote, Roseanne, and Roswell. From her mental health struggle to winning her Emmy, here are five fast facts you need to know about the actress!

In The Beginning…
Francis was born in Englewood, New Jersey. Her parents, Ivor Francis and Rosemary Daley, were both actors. She grew up in Long Island, New York, and California with her older brother, younger brother, and half-sister and started acting when she was a teenager.

Business Owner
Francis was also a business owner for many years. She owned a home store called The Cherished Home that was located in Maine. The store sold home accessories and cottage furnishings. However, Francis sold the store in 2012 because of her busy schedule on The Young and the Restless.
