The Death Plot Twist That Could Happen on When Calls the Heart Season 12

When Calls the Heart Season 12 is just a month away. Hearties are already buzzing about what could happen in the season premiere. The show has been dropping teasers on social media. There could be a shocking twist to a death plot on the show.

Wedding or Funeral?

The official Instagram account for When Calls the Heart dropped a Reel that had fans talking. The footage showed the inside of a chapel, and most fans were convinced this meant that Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and Nathan (Kevin McGarry) could say “I do” in the premiere. But the couple just came to terms with their relationship in Season 11. It would be too soon for wedding bells to ring. Maybe what happens in Season 12 isn’t a wedding. Maybe it’s a funeral instead. Some Hearties think it’s a funeral for Lucas (Chris McNally).

There seemed to be a chance for Lucas to fall in love in Season 11. But there’s also a potential that he could die. In Season 10, Lucas got shot and almost died. The show hasn’t done much with the character since his engagement to Elizabeth ended.

Back From the Dead?

There’s another reason why there could be a funeral. Also, at the end of Season 11, Elizabeth got some news about Jack (Daniel Lissing). The Mountie was shot and killed in Season 10. However, the show never paid their respects.

This could be their way of honoring the character. It would also bring some closure to Elizabeth’s relationship with Jack. However, the shocking twist behind this is that Jack could possibly come back from the dead. The actors reunited in the 2024 Hallmark Channel holiday movie Santa Tell Me. This could be the network’s way of teasing their reunion.
