John Stamos Pens Touching Tribute To His ‘King’ That Will Make You Swoon

Have mercy! John Stamos had the title of World’s Best Uncle for many, many years, but a year ago the actor became a father for the first time. The former Full House star welcomed his son, Billy, with wife Caitlin McHugh and his life hasn’t been the same since.

In honor of his son’s first birthday, the General Hospital alum shared an adorable photo of himself and his son dressed as Elvis Presley. “One year ago tonight, our little King was born,” he wrote on Instagram on Wednesday, April 10.

Stamos shared his first photo of little Billy back in April 2018 with the caption, “From now on, the best part of me will always be my wife and my son. Welcome Billy Stamos (named after my father) #NotJustanUncleAnymore #Overjoyed.”

The 55-year-old had a lot of practice being a dad on Full House as Uncle Jesse, but it took him quite a few years to actually become a father in real life.

Shortly after his son’s birth last year, Stamos opened up about how fatherhood has completely changed him for the better.

“It’s been beautiful. Every second you pray that you can keep the kid alive. Every day is different, time has become very elusive, stuff just goes by so fast. It’s just beautiful. I’ve cried most days; I just stare at him,” he told People.

“He has my smirk. But he only goes into action when I turn off the camera! I’ll have to reverse that if he’s going to be my son. People over the years have said, ‘Wow, you look so young!’ Get ready, folks, ’cause now I’m going to show them I look my age and I’m older.”
