DAYS spoilers for Monday, December 19, 2022, focus on Xander Cook making things worse for himself, Ava Vitali’s violent revenge plot going sideways, and John Black trying to manipulate Kristen DiMera. This is an episode you will not want to miss.
Xander (Paul Telfer) isn’t the best judge of right and wrong. Sure, he knows when he’s doing things wrong, and he feels bad when he does them, but it doesn’t stop him from doing them. As usual, his crimes are adding up, and instead of turning himself in, he is continuing to pile on more.
Is there a way to break this cycle? Sure. Will he take it? Probably not. Unfortunately, it’s all coming back to haunt him, and he’s feeling the walls closing in. There may not be getting out of this mess this time.
Over at Susan Banks’s memorial, chaos ensues in the aftermath of Ava’s (Tamara Braun) diabolical scheme to set off a deadly blast. The dust begins to clear after the explosion, and things go completely awry. It seems her plan to inflict as much pain as possible for EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) isn’t going the way she thought it would.

Ava may pay in ways she never even imagined. She put EJ in danger, Susan’s loved ones in danger, and herself and her son in danger. Ava is utterly unhinged, and now everyone knows it. There is no righting this very horrible wrong.
Meanwhile, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) reaches a breaking point and turns to Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) for support. He tells Eric all the dirty details of exactly why Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is still around and living in the house. Is there a way Eric can help?
There may not be much Eric can do, but John Black (Drake Hogestyn) is doing all he can to save his son from all this misery. Will his plan work? Will he get what he needs out of Kristen to make her go away? He’s a tricky trickster, but he’s playing with the best of the best when it comes to manipulation.
