Steve Johnson Mourns His Sweetness

Steve (Stephen Nichols) has suffered many losses in his life. He survived the death of family, friends, and lovers. But nothing compares to holding Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) in his arms while she took her last breath. It’s a trauma he may never get over. How can he go on without her?

His emotions and tears pour out as he tries to wrap his head around how it all went wrong. He was so optimistic the ladies were on the mend, but now Kate and Kayla are gone, and Marlena is fighting for her life. It’s a terrible situation, and Steve may never recover from all this tragedy.

Stephanie (Abigail Klein) is also deeply hurting. Not only is her mother gone, but she didn’t even have a chance to say goodbye. She leans on Chad (Billy Flynn) as she tries to come to terms with Kayla’s passing and all the things (ahem, Alex) that led to her not being there.

Speaking of Alex, Sonny (Zach Tinker) urges his brother to tell Stephanie the truth. Why let Stephanie beat herself up about not being there for Kayla because they were in bed when it wasn’t her fault at all? It was Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) who ignored those calls and turned off the phone. It may not make things better (in fact, it would make things worse for Alex), but it sure could ease some of Stephanie’s guilt.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: A Family Secret

At the same time, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) has a secret to share with Rex (Kyle Lowder). Does this have something to do with their “missing” brother? Philip Kiriakis has been presumed dead for a very, very long time, but Lucas knows the truth. Kate’s death would be a pretty good reason to find him. Despite it all, he does deserve to know, right?
