The DAYS spoilers recap for Thursday, May 19, 2022, features Lani Price Grant hoping that the truth will set her and her mama free. Hint — it probably won’t; not if Lani’s husband has anything to say about it.
After coming to the startling conclusion that it was most likely his wife, and not Paulina (Jackée Harry) who shot and killed TR Coates (William Christian), Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) put his policeman’s cap on and started interrogating Lani (Sal Stowers).
Though she fronted for a good two minutes, Lani caved and admitted all. Luckily for her, Eli was all, “Let’s just throw your mama under the bus and be done with it. What does she have to live for anyway?”
No, no absolutely not. A thousand times no. Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will not, repeat, will not lie to Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) about baby Mickey being alive. And how dare Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) even ask him to. Just because the priest’s collar is off, that doesn’t mean that rules no longer apply.
Admittedly, life has not been kind to Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens). Satan broke up with her not once, but twice for heaven’s sake! But look, like Paulina says, if the worst comes to the worst, Chanel will survive. It’s in a Price woman’s genes. Now, go and get your mama a bear claw!
Eric won’t lie for him, and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) sure isn’t about to claim to Sarah that she and Eric and Mickey are one big happy family — which Sarah wouldn’t believe anyway, considering she caught Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) sans pants in Nicole’s apartment — so what’s Xander to do?
Well, he could pull an Eric and just be truthful with Sarah…oh wait, Eric beat him to the punch. Thanks, mate (said in the most sarcastic of tones)!
If there’s one thing that Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) won’t tolerate, it’s someone not following their heart’s desire. Therefore, she once again strongly encouraged Abe Carver (James Reynolds) to get well and truly over himself and admit to Paulina that he still loves her and that he wants her back…possible prison time be damned!
