DAYS Spoilers Recap For May 16: Big Bo Returns To Meet His Namesake

Though Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) got the bejebus zapped out of him when he tried it, Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) was able to penetrate the Devil’s dark forcefield and rescue her baby.

Not at all pleased by this development, DevAllie (Lindsay Arnold) fled the scene and headed straight for…Saint Luke’s church. And no, she wasn’t there to repent. She was there to finish what was started as MarDevil in 1995 and reattempted by Eve Donovan a few years previous. Just think of Allie as Salem’s answer to Mrs. O’Leary’s cow.

Meanwhile, Ciara and Ben headed back to University Hospital — which is quickly becoming their home away from home — so that the three of them could get the once over from Dr. Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans).

There was much oohing and aahing at the sight of wee Bo, and a hint of melancholy that he wouldn’t get to see the grandfather he was named after. But never fear, Big Bo (Peter Reckell) is here to make the impossible possible. Oh, and Ciara’s ability to ward off Satan — she’d had an assist from her pops.

In case you were wondering, Shawn Brady’s (Brandon Beemer) misery is still all about Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison). And she hates that baby that Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) is carrying, so here’s hoping there’s somebody in that town that will want to raise it on Shawn’s behalf because Belle will give new meaning to the appellation wicked stepmother.

While DevAllie conjured up some gasoline to spill about the church’s choir loft, her nearest and dearest — and Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) — arrived on the scene and began an exorcism. When Satan threatened to snap Allie’s neck out of sheer meanness, Tripp stepped up and offered a trade: his soul for Allie’s.

At first, Jan was all for christening her and Shawn’s spawn Britney if it was a girl, but now, in the hopes of impressing Shawn, she’s decided that Hope would do just fine. But she’s definitely putting the kibosh on the name Gertrude.
