The DAYS spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 22, 2022, features pointed questions, questions of accountability, warring siblings, and much more.
Despite Paulina Price Carver (Jackée Harry) and Eli Grant’s (Lamon Archey) best efforts, Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) finally unburdened herself of the secret that she’s been keeping. To say that the assemblage was a bit taken aback to hear that Lani shot and killed TR Coates (William Christian) and that Paulina had been shouldering the blame would be an understatement.
The surprises continued. Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) rallied everyone to agree to keep Lani’s confession hush hush — yes, Honest Abe Carver (James Reynolds) included. Think the pact from I Know What You Did Last Summer minus that nasty hook-wielding psycho.
Despite it all, Lani insisted on heading down to the police station and giving her sworn statement. Eli wasn’t too impressed by her honesty, but he agreed to stand by her come what may.
Believe it or not, there were further confessions to be made. Much to Paulina’s surprise, Abe admitted that he never quite bought her version of events, and Big Mama Price (Marla Gibbs) made sure her daughter knew just how proud she was. Awww. It’s almost sweet.
If you were worried that DAYS was dropping the Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller) murder investigation don’t be. It’s still ongoing, and nobody in Salem has forgotten that a killer lives among them. Besides the goings-on at the Carver nuptials, it was what everybody was talking about.
Having done her good deed for the day — which was pointing out that Lani didn’t seem exactly in her right mind when she shot TR, ergo she has a pretty good defense — Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) set about casting the cat amongst the pigeons.
Would Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) have accepted Rafe Hernadez’s (Galen Gering) marriage proposal if she knew that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) was soon to be drummed out of the priesthood, she wondered? Also, does Eric still want a future with his former missus? Neither Nicole nor Eric answered. Duley noted.
Sure, they really should be concerned for Chanel Dupree’s (Raven Bowens) wellbeing, but Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), with the patented death glare, are only interested in scoring points brownie points. Neither one seemed to get anywhere.
