The DAYS spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 16, 2022, features several big swings and only a few misses. Who struck it lucky, and who struck out?
With seemingly no interest on the part of either Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) or Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), Alexander Neil Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) tried his luck with Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus).

But despite soaking up the attention and compliments and enjoying the free booze on offer, Gabi was quick to let Alex know that she was a taken lady — a very taken, very happy lady.
That settled, Alex tried one more time to interest Allie and Chanel in some extracurricular activities; they politely declined. Unbothered, Alex made sure that the couple knew it was a standing invitation.
Paulina Price Carver (Jackée Harry) loves love, and she really likes the idea of Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) as a couple, so she tried her best to get Roman to forgive Kate her trespass.
Roman, for his part, was all grrrr, no Kate’s awful and will never learn. He also compared Lucas Horton’s (Bryan Dattilo) kidnapping of Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) to Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) killing a man while driving drunk and serving about a year in prison for the crime. If Roman’s son could do the time, so could Lucas, we believe was the point. Still, weird point.
Having been caught in his attempt to murder Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) proposed to Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) that they nicely ask Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) to tamper with the patient’s emotional core and make him fall back in love with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) — that way, Li gets to keep Gabi, and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) will be Kristen’s for the taking. This greatly intrigued Kristen.
Though she initially blew up over Lucas’s plan to plead guilty for his crimes, Kate eventually decided that it was for the best…and that it would be even better if she confessed to aiding and abetting her son after the fact. This threw Roman for a loop.
