Peter Reckell’s Bo took his last breath on Days of Our Lives last fall and the show hasn’t quite been the same without this heartthrob. He first appeared in Salem and on our TV screens over 30 years ago in May of 1983.

Soap Hub asked if you miss watching Peter Reckell or if Salem goes on fine without him.

Gone Too Soon
Out of nearly 3,000 votes, a whopping 95% of you said absolutely – you miss seeing the actor and character. You know that Fancy Face needs the love of her life, Caroline (Peggy McCay) and Victor (John Aniston) need their son, his kids need their father and so on. John (Drake Hogestyn) could have really used his help in the search for Tate. But most of all, the romance between Bo and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) should have lasted like her father Doug’s (Bill Hayes) marriage to Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes). You know you were cheated out of seeing them grow old together, and you want him back.

Moving On
A very small 3% say they don’t miss Reckell. More than likely, you see him doing his other projects and you’re happy for him getting to do other things. Sure, you may miss his character, but if the actor is happy, that’s good enough for you. Besides, it’s given Hope a chance to be with new people and play some tough emotions.

On the Fence
Only 1% of you weren’t sure which answer to choose. You probably see both sides – you may miss seeing Bo every day but you’re also happy for the actor spreading his wings elsewhere. One thing you do know is that you love Days of Our Lives and can’t wait for it to return from the Olympic break next week.
