Drake Hogestyn (John) joined an intensive four-month acting training workshop run by Columbia Pictures. In 1982, he was cast as Brian McFadden in the TV series Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, which was based on the movie of the same name.
Afterward, he appeared in TV movies Generation, Beverly Hills Cowgirl Blues, and the mini-series, Otherworld. He landed his Days of our Lives role in 1986.
Deidre Hall (Marlena) has enjoyed a great deal of success on primetime, including guest spots on shows like Adam-12, The Streets of San Francisco, Emergency!, and Hotel.
She appeared as Barbara in the early days of The Young and the Restless before she joined Days of our Lives in 1976. She left DAYS for a few years to star in the TV series, Our House. She has also appeared in TV movies like And the Sea Will Tell, Woman on the Ledge, and Lucky in Love.
Leann Hunley (Anna) met with talent scouts from Universal Studios during a trip to Los Angeles and signed a contract. Over the next few years, she appeared on many TV shows, including Hawaii-Five-O, Battlestar Galactica, Hart to Hart, and Fantasy Island.
In recent years, she’s appeared on Raising Hope, NCIS, and Law & Order: SVU. She shot many pilots, including Hot Prospects with George Clooney as her leading man! Days of our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listing for air times.
