In this Days of our Lives retro recap, it’s Tuesday, June 16, 2020, a day centered around Gabi Hernandez, Gwen Rizczech, and Claire Brady. One team was tracking down the missing mama, another was hunting Gwen, and Claire was in the middle of it all and the only one with some good intel.

Will Horton (Chandler Massey) saw a change in Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) when he mentioned the cops were involved but let it go when his new bestie insisted he didn’t know anything. Will left in defeat and went home to Sonny Kiriakis (then Freddie Smith) and gave him the rundown of the day.

Their talk was interrupted by Ari. She missed her mom and wanted her dads to call her. Instead, they changed the subject. Hey, wouldn’t you love a little brother or sister? Um, no. Ari would rather have a puppy.
DAYS of our Lives Recap: A Matter of Life or Death
Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) thought they could scare Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) into giving them information on Gabi (Camila Banus), but they were wrong. He kept his mouth shut, wouldn’t admit to anything, and stormed out of the station shortly after he took a secret call from the kidnapper.
Meanwhile, Gabi was tied to a chair and screaming for help. Her captor, Jimmy, came in and told her time was running out. He gave Jake three more hours to hand over the goods — or else! Gabi knew the clock was ticking.

DOOL Recap: Claire Knew Everything!
Luckily, the case was breaking over at the Salem Inn. Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) insisted she knew the woman in the fliers and proved her point. Her name was Gwen (Emily O’Brien) and she was hiding from her ex-boyfriend. Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) didn’t believe her since Claire was locked up at Bayview without many visitors. (Hey, maybe put two and two together).
It wasn’t until John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) discovered Claire missing that things took a turn for the good. Marlena realized Claire ran off to see Ciara and hunted her down. Finding Claire at the hotel was not a shock, but everything after was. Ciara had no choice but to tell Marlena about Gabi. In turn, Marlena convinced Claire to tell them where Gwen was.

Things moved fast as Ben and the doc ran for the sanitarium. Unfortunately, they got there too late. Gwen already checked herself out and was on the run.
