Days of our Lives has never had a shortage of wacky, kooky, downright weird characters. Remember Eugene (John DeLancie)? He was a violent psycho first thought to be the Salem Strangler, but later he just became a fun-loving inventor who asked Marlena (Deidre Hall) to be the best man at his wedding. He’d kidnapped her back in his violent psycho days. But, let’s be honest, who hasn’t kidnapped Marlena at this point?
Eugene married Calliope (Arleen Sorkin). She wore long, themed earrings and funny hats. Yeah, that was about the extent of her character development. She also palled around with Anna (Leann Hunley).
But that was the past. Which modern day eccentrics are fans missing? Over 2,000 let us know!
A winning 75% of the audience is yearning for a Hattie (Deidre Hall) return. She and Roman (Josh Taylor) seemed to finally be headed… somewhere. Wasn’t that worth exploring? Hattie may be a bit rough around the edges, but she’s a nice change from straight-laced Marlena.
A smaller 19% of Days of our Lives fans are always happy to see Susan (Stacy Haiduk) pop back. She is definitely a nicer person than her lookalike, Kristen. And maybe, with Susan in town, Kristen might climb down off that high horse of hers, ranting against Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) making off with Mickey, and recall how she took Susan’s baby. And Theresa’s (Jen Lilley). And was about to do the same to Sarah. Hypocrite, much, Krissy?
Leo (Greg Rikaart) returned to Salem in an April Fool’s dream sequence, but 6% is eager to see the real him return on a more regular basis. He made a nice foil for Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Will (Chandler Massey). And can you imagine what trouble might erupt if Leo were to join forces with Evan (Brock Kelly)?
