We knew this was coming, but now that the moment is almost here, it’s nearly too much to bear. After Friday’s episode of Days of Our Lives, we’re going to miss our Salem pals for two whole weeks.
Sports Over Salem! OH NO!
That’s right, The Summer Olympics is coming to NBC so rather than sharing the drama with Steve (Stephen Nichols), Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), Brady (Eric Martsolf), Theresa (Jen Lilley), Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin), and Nicole (Arianne zucker), we’ll be embroiled in the drama of who takes home the gold for the USA. Become engrossed in gymnastics and swimming, as well as the ever-popular volleyball team.

NBC will pre-empt Days of Our Lives starting on August 8 and promises quite the cliffhanger tomorrow to get us tuned back in for the show’s return on August 22.
