Days of our Lives Fans Hope That Jabi Will Become The New Stabi

Days of our Lives fans were clearly upset when the show ended the relationship between Gabi Hernandez and Stefan DiMera by sending the latter to his grave, as their portrayers Camila Banus and Brandon Barash had mad chemistry, and was one of the show’s best supercouples in ages.

Days of our Lives: Return Of A Supercouple?

The fandom behind Stabi was very vocal when DAYS killed off the young DiMera, as Stefan jump in front of a bullet meant for his mom, Vivian (Louise Sorel; then played by Robin Strasser). Although there seemed to be hope that Dr. Rolf could use his powers to bring Stefan back to life, his brain was fried, and that meant there was nothing to be done. However, Stefan’s heart was able to save Julie.

Gabi’s storyline went into some devious places after that, but fans still loved everything she did. So, when contract negotiations with DAYS and Banus broke down and she left, fans were again outraged.

Thankfully, better heads prevailed and the fan-favorite was brought back to the show this fall. Gabi will soon be back in Salem stirring up trouble.

And the show seems to be looking to reignite that Stabi magic by pairing the actress once again with Barash, who is now playing Stefan’s twin brother Jake. The two seemed to be moving in a love direction when Banus left, so it’s time to bring them back together! Both actors took to social media to tease the pairing.

“Just a little love from Gabi and Jake or Camila and Brandon,” Banus wrote next to an on-set photo of the pair. Barash posted the same photo with the caption, “Jabi/Stabi/Bramila sighting on Stage 2.”

While it remains to be seen if the Barash/Banus coupling can bring that same magic a second time around, it definitely looks like Gabi and Jake are headed for some fun storylines and fans couldn’t be happier. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
