It hasn’t looked good for “Days of Our Lives” supercouple Chad and Abby for months. From the day they married, it all seemed doomed. Abby really saw Batty Ben or thought she did and it was downhill from there.
Chad thought things would work out when Abby (Kate Mansi) agreed to get help in a mental facility, but rather than getting better, she got worse. She now refuses to see him or any family member for that matter. As she pretends her family doesn’t exist, Chad (Billy Flynn) falls deeper into depression and Abby falls deeper into insanity.
Now, it seems poor Abby will run away from Shady Hills and disappear. According to the June 6 issue of Soap Opera Digest, Chad embarks on a summer search for his wife with the unlikeliest of companions–brother, Andre!

We all know Andre (Thaao Penghlis) never does anything selfless and without motive, so Chad should probably watch his back. Executive Producer Ken Corday even told Digest Andre may know more than he’s letting on.
So, does Abby really run away or does Andre kidnap her? Perhaps she runs away and Andre finds her before Chad and holds her captive. Whatever happens, it sounds like just the right setup for Kate Mansi’s exit and Abby to re-emerge with a new face months later.
