Like poor Abigail, every time we thought we saw the last of Batty Ben on “Days of Our Lives” he’d reappear. While he was Abby’s worst nightmare, to many fans, Ben was a treat. Yes, Ben’s done some batty things, hence his nickname. However, Robert Scott Wilson’s performance has kept us enthralled.
Alas, Ben’s Salem run finally does come to an end this Friday to coincide with Kate Mansi’s last day as Abby. Soap Hub asked if you’re sorry to see Ben finally go or if you wish he could stick around and menace Salem some more.
Out of nearly 2,000 votes, 65% of you want more Ben in your DAYS future. First, you wish the writers had never turned him into a psychopathic serial killer, but even as a murderer, you want him around for fun and entertainment. Every soap town needs someone a little bit crazy and Batty Ben certainly fits that bill.

A smaller 33% think it’s time for Ben to go. He’s had a nice run, but his story is now played out. When Abby returns with a new face next fall, you also want her to have a new lease on life that doesn’t include Ben. You just want “Chabby” to get on with their lives.
The final 2% don’t even care anymore. You’re just ready for this storyline to end.
