Did you know that one of these Days of our Lives actors was raised in a small farming community? Do you think you know which star it is? If not, read on to find out the answer.
Jen Lilley (Theresa) was born in Roanoke, Virginia to Vince, a judge, and Ellen, a director of marketing/event planner. She almost became a kindergarten teacher but turned to acting instead.
She also wanted to be a singer, and in 2001, she won the National Educators award in Guatemala after giving multiple concerts for underprivileged Guatemalan kids. In high school, she owned and operated a wedding cake business out of her parents’ kitchen.
Peggy McCay (Caroline) was actually born in New York City. She spent her childhood acting out scenarios from her vivid imagination. By high school, she was already appearing on stage in Omnibus and Playhouse 90.
She continued to hone her craft after completing college at Barnard College of Columbia University by joining various theater companies. McCay was lured to Hollywood by Warner Bros., who adored her and put her under contract. She enjoyed many years appearing in primetime and other soap operas before joining the cast of Days of our Lives in 1983.
James Reynolds (Abe) was raised in a small farming community in Oskaloosa, Kansas. He later enrolled in Topeka’s Washburn University, where he majored in pre-law and journalism. He became a marine and is a Vietnam veteran.
When he moved to Los Angeles, his career quickly took off, with him appearing in primetime TV series guest spots, as well as movies like The Magic of Lassie. He made his first appearance as Abe on Days of Our Lives in 1981.
