What The Bold and the Beautiful Needs To Do To Shake Things Up

Nick Marone and Sheila Carter
 Comments

The Bold and the Beautiful is expert at introducing new conflicts to its canvas. Whether it’s the return of a powerful antagonist (Hi, Sheila!) or introducing a social issue (mental illness; opioid addiction), B&B knows how to keep its characters compelling.

The Bold and the Beautiful Has More To Offer

What should the show do next to stir up the action? Soap Hub posed this question to the viewers. Read on for the results!

Make The Earth Move

B&B is set in a real-life city — Los Angeles — and the show has wisely taken advantage of Southern California locales over the years. In 1994, following a big earthquake, the half-hour soap wrote in a quake that trapped Taylor (Hunter Tylo) and James (Ian Buchanan) in the Forrester’s Big Bear cabin.

Perhaps the show could write in another quake to, pardon the pun, “shake” things up. How would interpersonal relationships shift if enemies helped friends and friends helped enemies survive an earthquake and its aftermath? Over a third of you, 36%, would love to see a natural disaster hit L.A.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Instigators Are Us

Characters come and go over the years. Perhaps some of the show’s more dynamic personalities could return to liven the party. About 35% of you think this is the direction in which the show should proceed. But who to bring back? There’s Amber Moore (Adrienne Frantz), who is the mother of a Forrester grandchild (Rosie) as her daughter’s dad is Marcus Forrester (Texas Battle), Eric’s adopted son courtesy of his marriage to Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis).

What do you think? Post a comment!

Could Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) survive the return of Ridge’s half-brother Nick Marone (Jack Wagner)? The possibilities are endless. Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) return has viewers clamoring even more for Taylor to come home.

Sheila V. Steffy

The stage is already set for a Sheila/Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) epic battle. Nearly 29% of you would like to see this rivalry move up a notch. Fans have speculated that once Sheila learns of Steffy’s opioid addiction, she’ll somehow get the new mom hooked back on the pills.

If that were to happen, Finn (Tanner Novlan) would possibly rely on his birth mother for help with his newborn son Hayes. That would send a different kind of shockwave through everyone’s lives!
