Thomas Forrester is fighting an on-going battle with mental health on The Bold and the Beautiful. While he’s consciously done some manipulative things in the past, his current condition is cause for great concern.

The Bold and the Beautiful Polling

Soap Hub asked BB fans if they think Thomas deserves your empathy and sympathy. Read on for the results.

Psychology 101

The majority of you, over 70%, say that yes, you feel bad for Thomas. You believe that he needs to get treatment for his condition sooner rather than later. While Thomas has got it all going on on the outside — looks, great physique, charm — he is hurting big time on the inside. He pretty much has everyone fooled (except Liam, played by Scott Clifton) that he’s doing all right. Time will tell if he’s able to continue this way for much longer.

Accept Responsibility Thomas

It seems 17% of you feel that Thomas has brought his current condition upon himself. While Thomas has tried his best to manipulate those around him, there have been issues that have affected his life that were far beyond his control.

What do you think? Post a comment!

As a young man, he watched his father, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), walk out on his mother, Taylor (Hunter Tylo); there was a period of time when Thomas and everyone believed Taylor was dead; also, Thomas lost both his sister Phoebe (McKenzie Mauzy) and Caroline (Linsey Godfrey), the mother of his son, Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri).

Get Some Help

The rest of you, almost 13%, feel that Thomas is totally broken, so yes, he has your sympathy! He is perhaps his own greatest enemy in that he doesn’t quite know how to reach out to anyone right now. (Fortunately, Atkinson recently shared with Soap Hub how he unwinds during this heavy storyline.)

Thomas is good at covering up his actions that would otherwise have people questioning his behavior. Someone is going to have to reach out to Thomas and convince him he needs help, but who will that be? Stay tuned to find out! The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
