Brooke’s error with Quinn was going to Eric and telling him that he’d chosen the wrong woman to be his wife on The Bold and the Beautiful. Quinn overheard the conversation and ever since then, she’s been on Quinn’s hit list!
John McCook: Advice From Real-Life Wife
Eric (John McCook) cares deeply for Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and he always will. But Brooke may be mistaken if she thinks that Eric will choose her over Quinn (Rena Sofer), who is, after all, Eric’s wife.
While Quinn can be a formidable force when it comes to dealing with her enemies, she knows how to make Eric feel like he’s the most important man in the world. “Rena has that wide spectrum of capability,” McCook recently shared with TV Insider.
“She can bring that softness and romance to what she feels towards Eric. At the same time, she can be this terrible manipulator. Eric loves this girl. She’s wonderful. There’s a need to nurture these feelings in her and in him.

“Is Eric going to defend Quinn to Brooke?” McCook rhetorically asks. “Yes. [My wife] Laurette always says Eric should defend his wife! It would make Eric weak to allow Brooke to say these bad things about his wife. I have to be aware that Eric standing by his wife is a gesture of commitment and love, but he can still confront her.”
Eric’s had both successes and defeats when it comes to marriage. His two marriages to Brooke ended in divorce because while Brooke loves him, she’s always going to love Ridge more.
Eric’s third marriage to Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) was built upon lies as Sheila hid so much of her past from him. Eric and Stephanie (Susan Flannery) were wed three times. Their final union ended with her death in 2012.
