B&B Star Krista Allen Cautions To Leave Romantic Drama To Soaps

Poor Taylor Hayes is serving as ex-husband Ridge Forrester’s rebound after Brooke Logan Forrester broke his heart on The Bold and the Beautiful. While messy romantic entanglements make for great viewing entertainment, they should be avoided in real life as Taylor’s portrayer, Krista Allen, recently advised.

Krista Allen Gives Sound Advice

The actress recounted a story about just that in a post she made to her Twitter account saying, “Today, I got on the phone with a crying woman who felt she was in the same situation as ‘Taylor‘ — the ex is coming around (married) — and says he thinks he wants to be back with her.”

This was definitely a situation Allen had an opinion on and she knew exactly what to say. “I told her ‘Don’t let anyone mess with your feelings just because they are unsure of their own,'” which is advice someone should have given Taylor. Instead, her kids were pushing her to take their father back.

While most TV viewers can discern the difference between what works on TV and what should happen in real life, Krista Allen didn’t want to leave any room for doubt. “Soaps are supposed to be messy! But this is your life — not a silly TV show — if someone you love is having a hard time ‘choosing’ between you and another — please let them pick the other.”

She went on to explain why you need to pick you, in case there was any room for doubt. “And please, love yourself more — Everyone deserves better than being an option.” That’s certainly better advice than psychologist Taylor has given anyone lately — especially herself.
