On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Hope Logan Spencer forwent confessing the truth to her husband and instead doubled down on her lies.

In addition, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) defended her actions and RJ (Joshua Hoffman) and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) bonded as brothers should. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Hope Logan Spencer Piles Lie On Top Of Lie
At the cabin, Liam (Scott Clifton) reiterated his question — does his wife have feelings for Thomas — and Hope (Annika Noelle), rather than fess up, groused that it felt like she was feeling ambushed.
Liam apologized and then opined that Steffy, who’d been the one to alert him to Hope’s possible attraction to Thomas, was no gossip. She had no reason to arbitrarily target Hope or their marriage. Hope strongly disagreed, given the Hell that Steffy put them through for years on end.

Still, Liam persisted. He relayed — yet again — how Steffy had spied Hope caressing Thomas’s hands and gazing into his eyes and how Steffy had clocked a look of desire on Hope’s face.
Hope hedged rather than outright deny. She attempted to deflect by arguing that Liam was prioritizing Steffy’s belief rather than what his own wife is telling him. How insulting!
“This is not a subject I can afford to walk on eggshells for anymore, I’m sorry,” huffed Liam, adding, “It’s too dangerous,” Hope argued that Thomas was no longer a danger and that their working together posed no danger to her and Liam’s marriage but her husband would not be swayed.
“At this point, we’ve gone too far and there is nothing that is going to convince me he’s not a threat to our marriage except the one thing that you should have done, that you said you were going to do a long time ago. Stop working with him. STOP!”
An incredulous Hope demanded clarification. Was Liam ordering her to stop working with Thomas? Because Thomas was her lead designer and the Hope For The Future needs him, she needs him in order to be a success — and she’s not going to be dictated to by anyone.
Liam queried, “How do you think this is about me and your career? It’s not about your career. It’s about our marriage. And none of this would be happening right now if you had done the one thing, the one thing you told me you would do a long time ago which is just keep him away.”

Hope proffered that Thomas was Douglas’s father and Liam really blew a gasket. He’s so tired of hearing about how intertwined she and Thomas are, how “cosmically connected” they are. “I am so tired of fighting this battle. I am exhausted. I can’t have him living rent-free in my head anymore.”
“So just stop,” suggested Hope. “Either accept that Thomas is a changed man or just let it go.” Liam, in turn, demanded a straight answer. Does Hope have feelings for Thomas?
Hope denied the charge, and swore that she loved Liam and only Liam. She commitment and her heart is for him and him alone. [Yea, right.]
B&B Recap: Debate Club
Opposite “Lope’s” contentious convo, Steffy coped to telling Liam about her suspicions that Hope is lusting after Thomas; Finn (Tanner Novlan) was less than impressed. In fact, he accused his wife of dropping a bomb right in the middle of Hope and Liam’s marriage.
Steffy contended that that wasn’t her intention. She didn’t want to upset Liam or Hope or make trouble for them as a couple, she just couldn’t sit and listen to Liam blame Thomas for something that wasn’t his fault.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Oh, Brothers
Speaking of Thomas, he was joined at Forrester Creations by RJ who’d come looking for Hope — and since she’s always fluttering around Thomas he figured where his older brother was, there his sister would be too. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
No matter. RJ and Thomas took the opportunity provided to catch up — yes, RJ’s sticking around for the foreseeable future, yes Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) is still pressuring him to join the family company, and yes both men agree that it’s lovely that their mothers are the now the best of friends.
Thomas expressed admiration over RJ’s ability to stay above the fray where the family drama was concerned and RJ espoused a “be thankful for your blessings and get along to get along” philosophy which Thomas could get behind.
RJ also expressed his genuine happiness at seeing Hope and Thomas getting along…he just hopes that Thomas will continue treating Hope with the “kindness and respect” that she deserves. [No worries there kid!]
