If there’s one thing The Young and the Restless fans know to be true it’s that Sharon cannot stand being without a man. For years Sharon pursued a life with Nicholas Newman. After that marriage fell apart, she moved on with Jack, and then Adam, and then Dylan. Now Sharon has moved on with former police officer Rey Rosales.
The fans are invested enough in the pair to give them a ship name — “Shey” – but for many, the relationship isn’t exactly swoon-worthy. So what is the prevailing thought about the two? Soap Hub asked if you would like to see more of this couple. Here’s what nearly 15,000 fans had to say:
Yay Shey
There were 57% of you who gave “Shey” your stamp of approval. Of all the men who have swept Sharon off her feet, you like Rey the best. Many fans like the fact that Rey calls Sharon out on her bad decision making — like sticking up for Adam.
Fans also enjoy the fact that Rey is trying very hard to cultivate a close relationship with Faith and they want to see more.
Nay Shey
There are some of you out there who just aren’t feeling it. In fact, 42% of you gave the coupling a hard pass. Maybe it’s because you just don’t feel any heat between Sharon and Rey.

There is a large contingency out that just can’t except Sharon with a man who isn’t Nick. Consequently, these “Shick” fans are still holding out hope for a reconciliation between the two former spouses and only then will they be satisfied.
Finally, there are some viewers who are rooting for Sharon and Adam to rekindle their love affair. Sure he stole her baby and told her it was dead but let’s let bygones be bygones.
No matter what villainous actions Adam undertook, you can’t deny that Sharon and Adam radiate heat. Even having a new actor in the role of Adam hasn’t diminished that old flame.
