You’ve loved her on daytime dramas for years, and now there’s one more reason to celebrate the fabulous Tracey Bregman, who has played Lauren Fenmore Baldwin on The Young And The Restless since 1983!
Bregman was born on May 29 in Munich, Germany so, today she’s celebrating her birthday. Her parents are the late Buddy Bregman, a music arranger/record producer/composer, and Suzanne Lloyd, an actress. After living in Great Britain till she was 10, Bregman moved to the United States.
The actress made her daytime debut in 1978 as Donna Craig, daughter of Don Craig (the late Jed Allan), on Days Of Our Lives.
Donna left Salem, but a few years later YR cast her as Lauren, who had flings with Danny (Michael Damian), Jack (Peter Bergman), and Brad (Don Diamont). Lauren found true love with Paul (Doug Davidson).
Post-Paul, Lauren wed Scott (Peter Barton), which led to a feud/rivalry between Lauren and Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), who stole Lauren’s baby and fled to Los Angeles where she became a regular on The Bold And The Beautiful. In time, Bregman became a regular on the half-hour soap before returning to YR.
Next, Lauren was paired with Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and the two have remained a fan favorite duo ever since.

Bregman became a Daytime Emmy winner when she won the award for Outstanding Ingenue In A Drama Series in 1985 the same day real-life pal Beth Maitland (Traci) won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series.
In real-life, Bregman is a mother of sons, Austin and Landon. On screen, Lauren also has two sons: Scott (Daniel Hall) and Fenmore (Zach Tinker).
