Folks have been in denial about the lack of screen time Christel Khalil has been experiencing on The Young And The Restless. Yes, it’s the actress’ decision to pull back on playing Lily, and now, alas, there’s a new reminder that she’s not going to be around as often.
Khalil posted that she’s excited to share she’s among the actors who will be in a new film titled We Need To Talk that just wrapped.
“So excited to announce I’m apart of this cast!” Khalil posted. “Can’t wait for you all to see this film, such a funny script by @iamtoddwolfe”
Deadline reports that the film, which stars James Maslow (Big Time Rush), Emily Bett Rickards (Arrow), and Jonathan Fernandez (Lethal Weapon) and will be written and directed by Todd Wolfe, is set to begin production at the end of May.

The plot entails a video-game sensation named Great Scott Gamer (played by Maslow), who is great at talking to his followers, but less than a great communicator with his loved ones. The film’s titled comes from a moment in the story when Scott’s girlfriend (played by Rickards) says, “We need to talk.”
