Jordi Vilasuso, who plays steadfast police officer Rey Rosales on The Young and the Restless, may be having some problems with the heart on-screen, but off-screen, the Daytime Emmy-winning actor has hit the jackpot with love.
Happy Anniversary, Jordi Vilasuso and Kaitlin!
The actor took to Instagram to wish his wife, actress Kaitlin Vilasuso, a happy anniversary.
“8 YEARS! My favorite number and my favorite person in the world!” he wrote next to a loving photo of the two looking ever-so in love. “How I am blessed to know you and grow with you.”
It’s been a tough year for the couple. Last week, they revealed on social media that Kaitlin had a miscarriage and they were dealing with all the pain and heartbreak that brings, and back in April the whole family—including their kids Riley and Everly—were dealing with the coronavirus, and he went into detail about their experiences on older Instagram posts.

The Young and the Restless star referenced the troubles in his anniversary post but spoke about how he knows they can get through anything together.
“And yes, this moment may be bittersweet with what’s happened over the last few weeks but I know we can get through anything by each other’s side,” he said. “I love you, I LIKE you, and I will be better at putting together the dishwasher. Thank you for being my everything and helping me be a better me!!! Love you my Katie girl!”
The beloved actor, who also played Dario Hernandez on Days of our Lives and Tony Santos on Guiding Light, is currently offering support for his on-screen love as well, as Rey has been there for Sharon (Sharon Case) throughout her battle with cancer, though it looks like he may lose her to Adam.
