Origins
Goddard, who was born in Sydney, Australia, was on his way to completing a finance degree, but the acting bug bit him and he switched over to the Ensemble Actors Studio. His first TV role was as Eric Phillips on the Australian soap, Home And Away.
He’s a BEAST!
Goddard moved to Hollywood to try his luck getting acting roles in the United States, but, ironically, that’s when he landed the lead role of Dar in the syndicated series Beastmaster, necessitating his return to Australia where the series filmed.
The Write Stuff
Goddard didn’t just wear minimal clothing, do lots of abdominal crunches, and talk to animals on BeastMaster — he also served as one of the show’s writers, penning six episodes during its 1999-2002 run.

Yeah, this is hard to believe. (Not!) Goddard has worked as a model for both Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana. CBS Daytime has also cast Goddard as a model on The Price Is Right.
