If you’ve been missing legendary soap All My Children, you’ll be happy with a spoiler Kelly Ripa released Monday morning on Live With Kelly and Ryan!
Ripa, who played Hayley from 1990 until 2001 (and a couple of guest spots in 2010), revealed on her morning show that they’re planning a surprise for Halloween that would thrill fans when she mentioned hanging out recently with former co-star Eva LaRue (ex-Maria).
Apparently, the two – along with several other actors including co-host Ryan Seacrest – were involved in the show’s Re-‘Boo’-t-themed Halloween show.
While not all the actors involved in the fun were revealed, Ripa did admit that the show’s iconic leading lady, Susan Lucci (ex-Erica) would indeed be involved.
In fact, Seacrest had to play her love interest, Jackson Montgomery (originally played by Walt Willey). Considering Seacrest is a great deal shorter than Willey, he was told to stand on an apple box.

Ripa was in awe of Seacrest’s impersonation of Willey, especially since he’d never seen an episode of All My Children. He learned all his lines because he didn’t want to screw up and be the reason that Lucci would have to so the scene again.
So what was it like for Ripa to work with the legendary Lucci again after all these years? She admitted she was intimidated all over again, despite how successful she’s become. She acknowledged her former co-star is so iconic in the role, she couldn’t help but have that reaction.
