It was the most watched soap opera episode in history… and it ended with a surprise no one saw coming! General Hospital (GH) found a gold mine in Luke and Laura and their blockbuster wedding that even silver screen legend Elizabeth Taylor wanted to attend (and did!).
It was a gorgeous fall day when most of Port Charles gathered to see Laura Webber Baldwin (Genie Francis) marry Lucas Lorenzo “Luke” Spencer (Anthony Geary). It brought people closer together, including Laura’s folks, Rick (Chris Robinson) and Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander).
But in the end, the day was all about Luke and Laura, all that they had been through and the intense love that these two shared. They were adored by everyone. Well, not everyone.
