The celebrity and fashion-filled Met Gala at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art was supposed to take place on Monday but has been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic. That didn’t stop former General Hospital and current The Young and the Restless star Michelle Stafford from donning her finest.

Looking fantastic as always, she posed in her front doorway wearing a stunning gown that could easily have been seen at the famous Met Gala.
“So THIS is my dress to the Met Gala! I would have worn it tonight… if I wasn’t quarantined…if I was able to fly to NYC… if… um…I was invited in the first place. #Imaynotbecoolenoughforthemetbutimcoolenoughforshakeshack #maybe #allgoodistillhaveYOUGUYS #Maybeishouldcleanthemessinmyentryway,” Stafford wrote on Instagram.

Yes, her sense of humor is shining through as always and is something we all need right now during this time of global crisis. Soap stars have been showing us how real they are, staying at home and keeping themselves and their families safe while their shows have shut down production.
Stafford has two young children at home and she’s made sure they are protected with socks over their hands for post office trips (in lieu of gloves) and homemade masks like so many of us are and should be wearing these days.
The red dress the actress is wearing in this photo — her Met dress, if she had been invited to a gala that never was — looks perfect for Phyllis and maybe we’ll see it on her when new episodes of The Young and the Restless start airing.
