While Sonny and Scott are enemies on General Hospital due to Sonny’s treatment of Scott’s daughter, Karen, the actors are BFFs offscreen. Recently, Maurice Benard lent his considerable video directing skills to his friend Kin Shriner to help him celebrate a GH anniversary.

Shriner took over the role of Scott Baldwin on August 2, 1977, which means he recently celebrated 42 years in the iconic role. To mark the incredible occasion, Shriner let his Instagram followers know that he was given a helping hand by his close pal, Benard.

Making his grand entrance, Shriner introduces a fabulous look back at his character’s incredible run with a little video on Instagram, writing in the caption, “Shot and directed by 2 time Emmy winner @mauricebenard produced by @samirosesmith @generalhospitalabc #history#Scotty laura#familytime”

Enjoy the fun blast from the past, complete with many of Scott Baldwin’s iconic moments, including catching the bouquet during Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura’s (Genie Francis) wedding, the most-watched episode of any soap in history. You can see the video in its entirety below. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
