On Tuesday, General Hospital newcomer Chris Van Etten (Chet) welcomed a beautiful bundle of joy! The happy actor announced it in the cutest way via his Twitter account when he wrote, “We did a thing! #babymilo”
Little Milo Taylor Van Etten was born Tuesday, August 21. According to a post the actor retweeted back on June 12, it looks like the boy’s middle name was picked as a tribute to a fallen soldier friend.
In the tribute that was shared that day, Van Etten wrote the following for his friend, Taylor John Baune, a U.S. Marine who died on June 13, 2012.
“Has it really been 6 years? Still feels so recent. Though it technically happened around midnight on the 13th in Afghanistan, it would still be the 12th stateside.
“Good men gave up a lot that night but none more than you. Just know that your sacrifice was not in vain. If nothing else, it has given me a strength I never knew I had. I push on to live for the both of us, so that I can be proud of what we’ve done together when it’s my turn to come home. #neverforgotten”
