Eden McCoy is best known for playing Josslyn Jacks on General Hospital, a role she has had for the past four years. The actress is now a bona fide soap star, but she’s also appeared in other shows, films, and even short films.

While she’s very busy juggling acting and school, McCoy also managed to make time for athletics. From where she was born and raised to how she found out about landing the GH role, here are five fast facts you need to know about the actress!

In The Beginning…
McCoy was born on June 10 in Los Angeles, California. She was then raised outside of LA in Manhattan Beach, California. She first became interested in acting when she attended theater camp as a young child. She also currently attends The Marlborough School, as she’s still in high school.

Nickelodeon Beginnings
McCoy got her start in acting in a variety of commercials. In fact, she did a Wells Fargo commercial, as well as one for Valpak coupons. However, some of her first television roles were on Nickelodeon shows such as Thundermans and Game Shakers.

How She Found Out
McCoy found out she had landed the role of Josslyn Jacks on General Hospital when her mom picked her up from school. Her mom spilled the beans when she got into the car and McCoy couldn’t help but scream and cry at the same time.

Emmy Nominated
Because of her role as Josslyn on GH, McCoy was nominated for Outstanding Younger Actress at the 2019 Daytime Emmy Awards!

She’s Got Her Future Planned
Along with being a successful actress, McCoy is also a phenomenal volleyball player. When she’s not working — or in school — she plays competitive beach volleyball and even verbally committed to play for the USC Women’s Beach Volleyball team for the class of 2025!
