Justin Hartley has gone from a star of the soap world to star of NBC’s hit drama This Is Us as one of the main characters, Kevin Pearson. Though his career has taken many turns over the past couple of decades, Hartley is finally hitting his stride. Here are five fast facts about the actor.
1. Midwest Boy
Though he currently resides in California, Hartley was born and raised in Illinois. In fact, he even studied theater at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
2. I Married A Soap Star
Hartley has been married two different times to two different actresses we know from the soaps. His first marriage was to his Passions co-star, Lindsay Korman. The pair got married in 2004 and announced their separation in 2012.
He then went on to marry Chrishell Stause, who is currently on Days of Our Lives and has also been on The Young and the Restless and All My Children. Not only that, she has a fun Netflix series called Selling Sunset.

3. Teenage Daughter
Hartley has a 14-year-old daughter named Isabella with his ex-wife Korman. In fact, Isabella will be turning 15 years old this summer and is a beautiful combination of his good looks and her stunning mom.
4. Almost Aquaman
Don’t worry, he wasn’t going to take Jason Momoa’s role away. No, Hartley was cast in The CW’s television version of Aquaman back in 2006, but the show never went further than its pilot episode. He did get to play another superhero, Green Arrow, on Smallville.
5. Not Just An Actor
Though acting is his first love, Hartley is also a writer and director. While he was on Smallville from 2006 to 2011, Hartley wrote one of the episodes and he also directed another. Not only that, he’s a producer, having served as an executive producer on the film, Another Time, in which he starred alongside his wife, Chrishell.
