Luann de Lesseps is best known for being one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New York, a show she has been on since 2008. She certainly knows how to bring the drama.

Along with her iconic reality TV show career, de Lesseps is also an author, singer, and stage performer. From where she was born and raised to her amazing guest-starring role, here are five fast facts you need to know about the RHONY star.

Who is Luann de Lesseps?

De Lesseps was born on May 17 in Berlin, Connecticut, where she was also raised. She had six siblings and her father owned a construction company. She started modeling and even entered the Miss Connecticut beauty pageant in her early ‘20s, which inspired her to move to New York City.

Along with being a model and traveling the world for work, de Lesseps was also a registered geriatric nurse. She decided to go to nursing school because she loved caring for the elderly, but she decided to leave this job once her modeling career really took off.

Ready for Primetime
Of course, de Lesseps is best known for being a part of the Real Housewives franchise, but she also guest-starred on one episode of Law & Order: SVU back in February 2011. The episode was called “Bully” and de Lesseps played a socialite who finds a gruesome piece of art.

Life’s A Cabaret

While she’s known for being on reality TV, de Lesseps is also a cabaret star! She has been headlining her own show called Countess and Friends since February 2018 and travels around the country performing for her fans. She sings songs and discusses her life as a housewife while on stage.

De Lesseps married Count Alexandre de Lesseps in 1993, which gave her the title of Countess. They have two children together, Victoria and Noel, but they divorced in 2009. She then married Tom D’Agostino Jr. in December 2016, but they ended things in August 2017.
