After dating for five years, Fergie happily married to Josh Duhamel. But now, eight years after their nuptials, the storied singer is out and about, talking up her new solo album, Double Duchess, and answering questions about her split.
Doing the latter has not been easy for this show business mom (her son, Axl is four!) who choked up on that topic. She and Duhamel, who came to daytime fame as Leo on All My Children, are determined to make their parting work for their little boy.
She recently told Wendy Williams that “she [had originally] wanted to stay married forever.” And, a few days earlier, she told the ladies of The Talk that the two are making the split as unremarkable as can be, especially when it comes to being mom and dad.
She said, “The good thing is we don’t lose each other as parents…everything basically is staying the same except we’re not a romantic couple anymore.”

She continued “I love Josh. We’re making it work…We have Axl and we’re just working parents.”
Presently, the former Black Eyed Peas frontwoman is also focusing on her part in the music scene. She was joined by Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj on her new album that’s something that makes this newly single star extremely happy.
