Britney Spears has certainly been through a lot these last several years and even more so in the last few months and is now taking some time to focus on her well-being.
According to TMZ, the singer has been admitted to a mental health facility. She has apparently been very upset over her father’s health struggles.
Though it’s unclear what exactly Jamie Spears is suffering from, he apparently had two major surgeries to fix his intestines and his colon. This also comes just a few months after his colon ruptured late last year.
The mother of two cryptically announced her break on Instagram on Wednesday, April 3 when she shared a photo that said, “Fall in love with taking care of your mind, body, and spirit.” She also included the caption, “We all need to take time for a little ‘me time.’ :)”
The Toxic songstress reportedly checked herself into the facility about a week ago. This also comes just a couple of months after she decided to put her Vegas residency on hold because of her father’s health problems.
She first let fans know about his issues back in January when she announced her decision to postpone her shows. She shared the news in a post on social media, wanting to make her followers understand why she made the decision.

“I don’t even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say. I will not be performing my new show Domination. I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart,” she wrote.
