Former Bachelor star Lauren Bushnell is happily dating country singer Chris Lane, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t learn a thing or two from her past relationships.
Lauren most notably was engaged to fellow Bachelor star Ben Higgins for a little more than a year, but the pair called it quits back in 2017.
She then went on to date boyfriend Devin Antin, but they ended their relationship this past summer.
“I feel like lately I’ve really just been focusing on making myself happy and focusing on, ‘Wait. What is it that I actually want? What do I want?’” she recently told Us Weekly.
“Not what my parents want for me or someone else wants for me, not what they want, or me trying to make them happy. What do I want? What do I want in a partner, what do I want in life?’”
Lauren shared that through all of this, she has learned to keep her standards high.

“I do think you can still focus on yourself while being in a relationship, and learn from the ones that don’t go well, right?” she said.
“Just learn to focus on … what makes you happy, and stick to that. Like, don’t be ashamed to say it, don’t feel like you’re being selfish. Like, if it’s something that’s very important to you and you value it very high, like, keep it high. Don’t compromise on it.”
She continued, “Keep it as a priority and you’ll find someone who also has that same thing as a priority, and that’s when you know that it’s good and it works and it’s the right situation.”
Lauren and her country beau made their red carpet debut at the BMI Country Music Awards back in November.
“Chris had his arm around Lauren as they walked onto the red carpet and they posed together. Lauren was standing front-row during Chris’ performance,” a source said at the time.
