You’re not really a supercouple on Days Of Our Lives unless you’ve broken up — and several times at that.
Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe (Galen Gering) recently decided to end their marriage because…well, it’s fuzzy. There was no one big thing. More like a lot of little things building up.
Rafe thought Hope went too far trying to get Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) arrested for setting Ciara (Victoria Konefal) on fire. Oops, turned out to be granddaughter, Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan).
Hope wasn’t happy when Rafe took off for Europe to help Sami (Alison Sweeney) with Johnny. She also wasn’t thrilled by his agreeing to take care of Jordan’s (Chrishell Hartley) baby. So…a lot of kid stuff. But should the couple give it another try? What over 3,000 viewers had to say:

Oh, sure, why the heck not, 62% of you are throwing your hands up in surrender. Neither has any better options on the horizon — especially with Ted (Gilles Marini) dead and Lani (Sal Stowers) engaged to Eli (Leman Archey).

And they’re sweet together. Rafe is certainly an improvement over Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove) the Psycho, and Hope is definitely better for Rafe than sleeping his way through the Brady girls – yes, Carrie (Christie Clark), we mean you. So go ahead, reunite — it’s what Hope and Bo (Peter Reckell) would have done.
Enough Is Enough
We’ve already been on this merry-go-round several times, 38% of the audience counters. This isn’t a star-crossed couple, this is a couple that’s too dull to stay together – and keep our attention. They tried, they failed, isn’t it time to move on?
Frankly, Hope and Rafe have much more interesting potential as antagonists, maybe them hating each other will generate a fire their living each other never exactly did. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
