The Days of Our Lives recap for Thursday, August 1 features a day of wedding news, bombshell announcements, and a Freudian slip that is sure to change everything.
The honeymoon was over before it began for both couples (which was expected for the siblings, not so much for Stabi). Oh sure, Stefan (Brandon Barash) tried to turn up the heat but a knock at the door cooled that fire. Mr. Shin entered, formally fired Stefan, and heard about Gabi’s (Camila Banus) intentions to take over.
“Nicole” (Arianne Zucker) got wind of Mr. Shin’s arrival in Salem and made a mad dash for the mansion. However, she, Brady (Eric Martsolf), and Tony (Thaao Penghlis) were stopped along the way. Eric (Greg Vaughan) brought them to a grinding halt.
First, Eric was shocked to see Nicole with the likes of Andre. Then, he was stunned to find out that was Tony and not Andre. But, the kicker came when Nicole told him she was a married woman and Tony was her new bae! Well, that did not sit well and he attacked Brady for standing by and letting this mess happen.
Things got real when the brides came face to face. Gabi almost had her paws on the CEO job (as the last viable DiMera) but BOOM, in walked Nicole as Mrs. DiMera too! Let the games begin!

As for Eric, Rex (Kyle Lowder) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) took him back to the Kiriakis mansion. They ordered Chinese, hung out with Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Will (Chandler Massey) and calmed him down. All was well until Sarah and Rex went to bed.
Their entire marriage flipped upside down when Rex told Sarah he loved her and Sarah responded with “I love you too, Eric.” Talk about a soul crusher! Rex couldn’t believe his ears and asked her to repeat what she said. The damage was done, though. They both knew she meant it.
Meanwhile, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) did her best to put Will’s sleuthing skills out of her mind but his words nagged at her. So, when Ted (Gilles Marini) asked her to his place for dinner she jumped at the chance. She even got a lucky break when Ted had to go to the store.
She snooped through his place and hit the jackpot when she came across a boatload of money. Unforatuenly, she was caught when Ted came back and demanded to know exactly what was going on. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
