Isabel Durant has some strong family ties playing Days of our Lives’ Claire Brady, and the actress herself knows that having a strong family behind you is important. The Aussie actress took to social media to post a heartwarming message about her father, Tony.

“This is my Dad. He is wise. He is playful. He walks through life unafraid of wearing his heart and soul on his sleeve,” she posted, alongside a group of photos of her father. “He is brave enough to allow his tears to fall out in the open. His ability to welcome vulnerability with open arms is a blessing I will never take for granted and something I didn’t realise was so rare in a father until I was much older.”
Tony Durant recorded the album Fuchsia in 1970, which attracted a cult following decades later, leading to a re-release and a new album of songs. Back then he toured with Dave Warner in Perth, before moving to Sydney in 1990 to take a record deal with Polygram.

The DAYS star spoke more about how the man has always been a great father, and how she misses him.
“To be raised by a man with a heart as pure and open as yours is one of the most precious gifts this life has given me,” Isabel Durant said. “As you help to raise your two grandaughters this legacy continues. How proud you should be of that! As I sit here so far away from you I find solace in the fact that one thing I know to be true is that no matter what city, country or realm we find ourselves in, nothing will ever be able to break a bond this strong.”
